Whilst Photographs and 3D reconstruction are used as our main tools to display a scene or show a certain view or location, the photograph, model or mapping alone doesn't tell the whole story. At ForensicPhoto we use our graphical knowledge and expertise to overlay graphics onto images, 3D renders, maps and plans. This may be in the form of arrows, icons or logos. These graphics further explain the scene and are a key component of the graphics we produce.

Due to the sensitive nature of cases, we are sometimes not able to photograph or measure certain aspects of a scene or object. However another skill our team possess is on site sketching, which means if we cannot document a certain aspect of the case in our usual format, we can create detailed sketches at the scene. These sketches are then worked up to our usual high standard and either remain as hand drawn illustrations with graphical markers, or taken into our 3D software and worked up as a reconstruction.

By utilising our extensive graphic knowledge and experience, we can help you to "explain" your case. We use graphics to provide the viewer with a clear and precise understanding of the case facts. An illustration provides an insight to the end viewer. At ForensicPhoto we aim to provide accurate images that will be understood and effectively convey information to the observer.
